Must be a commercial customer of a participating utility. It must be installed in the service territory. The program may also be available as a midstream program. Contact the utility. Proof of purchase required. Rebates cannot exceed 60 percent of the project cost.

Federal Tax Credit- Air Source Heat Pump

Any combination of heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, and biomass stoves/boilers are subject to an annual total limit of $2,000. They can be combined with other utility rebates. New construction and rentals do not apply. Principal residence can be a house, houseboat, mobile home, cooperative apartment, condominium, or a manufactured home. The total limit for an efficiency tax credit in one year is $3,200. The total limit is $1,200 for any combination of home envelope improvements (windows/doors/skylights, insulation, electrical) plus furnaces, boilers, and central air conditioners.

Additional rebates are available. See program brochure. It cannot be combined with other utility rebates. Installation must be inspected prior to approval of the rebate. It must be AHRI rated, a residential or commercial customer of a participating utility, and installed in the service territory. Proof of purchase is required. The rebate is not to exceed 50% of the equipment cost. It will be credited to your utility bill.
